Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome? The answer is the detection and measurement of calprotectin through either rapid test (CalFast) or ELISA (Calprest), the Eurospital new non invasive assays to differentiate between Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and functional disorders Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

Easy-to-use and perform, Calprest allows the determination of the amount of calprotectin in stool to detect patients with possible intestinal inflammation to be submitted to further tests. Indicated also to assess response to therapy, Calprest is helpful as a predictor of possible relapses and for therapy monitoring.

For a fast, reliable and quantitative first level approach, Eurospital has developed CalFast, rapid test on cassette, which allows to detect patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease in less than 20 minutes.
